Position Summary

We are currently seeking a senior bookkeeper to assist with clients within Audit, Tax and Client Accounting Solutions portfolio.  A senior bookkeeper will need to display exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. This position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in an accounting-related field and at least one bookkeeping or accounting class and familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online accounting and bookkeeping software. This position requires accuracy in accounting computations and data entry for success.

Technical Skills
  • Advanced accounting/bookkeeping knowledge (able to complete a full set of financial statements, cash flow, and reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts; reconcile intercompany activity for multi-entity financial statements)
  • Assist in the review process of accounts payable and receivables, general ledger and sales entries, and reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
  • General accounting and administration support: gathering documents, preparing files, reporting writing, Audit workpapers, fixed assets and clean up
  • Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of resources
  • Post financial information to journals, registers, and ledgers as appropriate
  • Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources, prepare correction documents as required
  • Assist in reviewing work performed by tax offshoring team
  • Assist in budget control by monitoring budgets and originating or verifying adjustments and transfers
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Client Service

  • Client interaction and liaison for various tax projects, including gathering appropriate information and provide any additional support necessary to provide our tax team with documentation necessary to complete tax returns, planning, and projections

Travel

Ability to travel within Orange County up to 95% visiting client sites


Preferred Attributes

Successful applicants will have a minimum of 2+ years of accounting clerk experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Certification in bookkeeping and QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred  
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities
  • Experience in a customer service-focused environment
  • Ability to get along well with diverse personalities; be tactful, mature, and flexible
  • Ability to operate independently and “self-manage” projects
  • Results and profit-oriented focus, with the ability to balance other business considerations
